Just checking in
Hello everyone,
Just popping in seeing how things are. Not much new for me. I am on Karel's chat a lot now, which is so nice to have again. I missed him I realized, following his time off the air thanks to that other station.
I miss Angie's show too.
You all take care.
Hey Melody,
Sorry to hear of more bad news, it seems this is a common theme which is just so annoying.
It has been quiet with the show too. Which is sad.
I participate on Karel's show, so if you ever go there, you'll see me.
Hello to one and all. It has been a l-o-o-o-o-n-g time (too long!) since I checked in here. I hope everyone is at least surviving. Election day is next Tuesday, and I fear for our country, given the tremendous amount of anonymous cash that has been flowing into the election from corporate interests, in an effort to convince everyone that up is down and black is white.
I miss the live chat and even more, I miss LFTLC.
yes, it HAS been a long time. too long really. i am back living in california, having tearfully deciding that i perhaps opportunities are more available to me in the bay area. and S-L-O-W-L-Y they have been. but hell, i am getting tired of this economy, ya know?????? anyway, voted this morning, yeah!! and i will be listening to the radio for the blow-by-blow. and i am a tad nervous, with all the ignorant folks (why are we still ignorant??) happily supporting the tea-baggers, or after watching "the great dictator" by charlie chaplin, the neo-nazis, yes????? m with the "new" depression and unemployment very high and the scapegoating, it is so prime for a "new" hitler. we desperately need a paradigm shift in people's brains and spirits. on a good note, i did see some very cute halloween costumes on telegraph street in oakland. little tiny dragons, robots, a chicken (?) with parents as farmers. hee hee. perhaps a beer in the future to celebrate a return home??? i do still love/like seattle. no regrets at all. beautiful city and made some good connections. little money coming in, visits to the food banks, my beloved bus pass (yeah, ORCA card!!), and how i love libraries. oh, the libraries up there, especially the main downtown one, so, so useful and so needed for PEOPLE. ok. thanks for the venue and how is the hell can we get angie back on the air???? later, melody
Glad to hear from our erstwhile listeners/livebloggers! We struggled this past year but never gave up, and now things are starting to come together. We have a new studio in Berkeley, are talking with some (real, on-air) stations about carrying the show in 2011, and are launching a non-profit organization which will be the entity responsible for producing the show. I wrote a recent update on my blog that goes over these points, if you want to check it out. Stick around, we'll be back before you know it. --Gordon

hey !!!!!!!! first off, HELLO OUT THERE !!!!! anyone out there????? ok. two things: everytime i hear the kings of leon song "sax is on fire" (not sure of title??), hearing the intro, it is sad cuz i think of angie's show, then i think of no more angie's show, then i think of no more bloggy folks, and on and on. ok. two: i'm very strongly thinking of moving back to the bay area. i have been struggling here a lot and perhaps that is mormal. but geez, it's quite tiring. i moved into a new house where i was led to believe one scenario and have found a different one. anyway, the weather here can be qutie fun, with all of it's changes in ONE DAY (stormy, rainy, sunny, cloudy, all in a day, REALLY !!!) but i have come to miss the sun on a regular basis. i don't know. any thoughts??? i know you all don't know me, some of you just barely, but how much should one struggle to find one's home/job/place in life????????????? thanks for hopefully reading, : ) mel
